The Penn State Law School Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic assisted my father Lou with his leukemia-related Agent Orange claim with the Veterans Administration (VA). Through the financial contributions from their past clients, the clinic also helped my dad obtain a crucial expert medical opinion and guided him through the complex claims process. And they shared his story to raise awareness about the urgent need for minority blood stem cell donors.

As a lawyer and former clinical student, I deeply admire the work of the clinic’s director, Penn State Law School Associate Dean Michele Vollmer, and her students. And I am profoundly grateful for their expertise, their deep care, and their dedication to supporting veterans.
